Dawn Whitaker
Professional diversity, coupled with flair, describes the scintillating and talented Dawn Whitaker.For almost a decade Whitaker has served Charter Communications as an On Air Host/ Co-Host, Executive Producer, and News Anchor/ Reporter. Some of her current shows include, “The Pep Talk Sports Show,” “On Location with Dawn Whitaker,” and “Beach Time.”
Her persistence and dedication have afforded her the opportunity to interview some of the nations most prestigious and sought after individuals; athletes, entertainers, politicians, business moguls and more.
Ms. Whitaker has built a successful management practice, advising and mentoring celebrity clients including Derek Strong, the first African American professional athlete (NBA) to make a successful transition into NASCAR as a driver, competing in a major NASCAR series in the sport’s modern era. As prior co-owner of STRONG Racing, she is one of the first African American female owners of a NASCAR team.
In addition to establishing an undeniable presence in the entertainment industry, Whitaker, a graduate of UCLA, worked for Smith Barney and PaineWebber, as a licensed Stock Broker, and is a branded authority on financial analysis and consulting.
Whitaker is a member of the NABJ – National Association of Black Journalists, and a licensed member of the National Association of Realtors.

Dr James Kyle
Dr. James Kyle is currently the Vice President for Medical Affairs at the St. Mary Hospital in Apple Valley, California and was previously the Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the Charles Drew
University of Medicine and Science. He recently served as the Dean of the Loma Linda University School of Public Health, until July of 2006. Prior to this he served as Vice President for the California market for Schaller Anderson, a healthcare management and consulting firm based in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. James L. Kyle, was the founder and Chief Operating Officer of Genesis Healthcare Strategies,
a full-service healthcare consulting firm focused on improving the operational
efficiencies of non-profit healthcare providers, philanthropies, government agencies and community based organizations. Genesis specialized in strategic planning, program evaluation, process improvement and revenue enhancement.
He is a graduate of UCLA School of Medicine in 1987 and completed his Internal Medicine residency there in 1990. His healthcare career has afforded him broad experiences in clinical practice, healthcare administration and academic administration.
In 1994 Dr. Kyle became a Vice President at Sharp Healthcare in San Diego and later became CEO of the Sharp Health Plan. While there he oversaw the acquisition of Sharp’s Medicaid HMO license, and the expansion of new product offerings. While in San Diego, he also served for 3 ½ years as medical news analyst for KUSI television’s News at Ten, and their Morning Show.
In 1996 he accepted a post at the Charles R Drew University of Medicine and Science as Chief Medical Officer and Director of Clinical Business Development. He later was appointed Administrative Dean of the College of Medicine and served briefly as Interim Dean of the College.
Dr. Kyle served his country as a Captain in the US Army Reserve Medical Corp. and was
decorated with the two Army Commendation Medals and a service award for his work in the former Republic of Yugoslavia.
Before pursuing his medical studies, Dr Kyle served for 8 years as an Ordained Minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Today, despite his busy administrative career, he is pastor the Tamarind Ave. SDA Church in Los Angeles, California. He earned his Master of Divinity degree in 1978 from Andrews Theological Seminary and his BA in Religion from Loma Linda University in 1973.
Dr. Kyle takes his life and work seriously. For him medicine is but a complimentary form of true ministry. He has focused his consulting to improve the ability of well-intended, quality organizations to effect measurable outcomes in their mission to relieve suffering and perpetuate a caring safety net for indigent populations.
Dr. Kyle an experienced communicator, working in mass media and accepting frequent speaking engagements for local and national organizations. He spent over three years providing medical news commentary for KUSI-TV in San Diego, California and has done guest appearances on the FOX morning news and FIT TV.
He also sits on the boards of outstanding institutions like The California Endowment and recently served on the St. Joseph Health System Board. He was recently appointed to the California African American HIV/AIDS Coalition, the California Telemedicine and e-Health Advisory, the Statewide Advisory Committee of the California Initiative to increase Health Professions Workforce Diversity, and the California Health Strategy Summit Steering Committee
Despite his heavy schedule, Dr. Kyle is the happy husband of thirty-three years to Joyce Kyle and has two wonderful sons, James III, and Christopher.
