Dr. James L. Kyle, II, MD, M.Div
"Prepare Your Mind"
Dr. James Kyle graduated from UCLA School of Medicine, fulfilling his residency in Internal Medicine. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Andrews Theological Seminary, and obtained his BA in Religion from Loma Linda University.
As a nationally recognized professional and sought after speaker and interviewer, in Broadcast Media, Kyle has made numerous appearances, in a multiplicity of venues, from FIT TV to the FOX Morning News. It began, in 1994, debuting as a medical news analyst, in San Diego, for KUSI’s Morning Show and Television News at 10.
An only child, born and raised in South Los Angeles, plagued by the unexpected death of his father, at age 10, Kyle was raised, primarily, by his mother.
Dr. Kyle served his country as a Captain in the US Army Reserve Medical Corp. and was decorated with two Army Commendation Medals and a service award for his work in the former Republic of Yugoslavia.
It is his mission to build socio-economic parity, reform education to free our children to grow and think and to lift as many who desire, from the abyss of poverty and ignorance—hoping to create a country that values diversity where justice is available to all regardless of race or income.
His passion for political reform stems from his early experiences with segregation in the South, and being victimized by violent crime as a teenager. Dr. Kyle has watched our nation adrift from the moral, ethical and historical moorings that once secured our place of honor on this planet. HE WANTS IT BACK! He believes that clear thought and dialog about our lives gives us one more chance to get it right. He has been gifted with the ability to express the experiences of his past and the experiences of others in a compelling fashion to cause his audience to stop, take notice, and ponder new responses; striving against injustice, pain, and misery, to improve the lives of those he touches.
He has raised a family, built businesses, served in the military, educated our youth, developed religious communities, and looks forward to the release of his first book, "The Keeper of the Secret", scheduled for release in winter of 2008.
Dr. Kyle holds the title Vice President, of Medical Affairs, for St. Mary Hospital, in Apple Valley, CA, and sits on various boards of outstanding institutions including The California Endowment. He serves on the St. Joseph Health System Board, and was recently appointed to the California African American HIV/AIDS Coalition. He’s also on the board of the California Telemedicine and e-Health Advisory, the Statewide Advisory Committee of the California Initiative to increase Health Professions Workforce Diversity, and the California Health Strategy Summit Steering Committee. Dr. Kyle is the husband to Joyce Kyle; happily married for thirty-three years and proud father to James III, and Christopher.
